Both are older buildings. Both have experienced renovations recently. The Village is in town and closer to more walk-to dining. Both are on the hill while The Village requires riding a beginner's 6-pack to get to a lift that serves more than green terrain. Shuttle buses for either will make access to the entire town and ski are pretty simple. I can't speak for any of the amenities. I live in Breck and don't frequent their facilities.

I stayed in Beaver Run last year as part of a time-share sales pitch. The room itself was fine, very roomy, and had a wood burning fire place which they delivered plenty of wood for. Not the height of luxury, but easy access to a lift and peak 9. The common areas were showing their age, and certainly the hot tub area could've used a bit more cleaning up.
