I was cleaning out a drawer today and found this patch not sure how I came by it because I did not attend.

I've also got a Stetson brand Billy Kidd model cowboy hat.

Added some OG Vuarnet Glacier Glasses and a pair of brown Skilynx since this photo was taken... Doesn't include a bunch more Oakley and Raybans..

I've also got a box full of lift tickets dating back to the 90s. Had a bunch of trail maps and older lift tickets that didn't make the cut in a move when my mom sold their house.

Vintage Ullr/Salzburg ski medal. With a bit of a story. When WW2 ended, my father stayed in theater and lived in Salzburg as part of the US Forces in Austria. He learned to ski at Zell am See. I got this medal when h passed away, kept it in my shell when skiing. One day I lost it while skiing in CO, was totally sick. For some reason it had fallen out of my zippered pocket either on the hill or otherwise. I knew people did the metal detector thing, so was certain somebody would find it,

I searched auction sites and ebay on and off for 7 years or so, Then last Friday I found it for sale. A lady had bought it at an auction and was selling it. Obviously paid whatever she wanted. The medal still had the marks from where I had tried to get some corrosion off with a toothbrush.

Crazy, huh?

My mother gave away or threw away my father and grandfather's military medals around 2010. She has been suffering from demementia and did this before we realized how serious it had gotten. A couple years after realizing they were gone I got an email out of the blue..
Got most of them back, Made a generous donation to the Lawton local library group that tracked me down.
