Yes, cursed now for sure. Good thing about what Ron is saying is that I was able to but two Vittoria Open CXs for $20 a piece instead of $100 each. My daughter just started road riding and has a hand me down steel LeMond that's older than she is or close to it. The rear tire was delaminating so I put on my old CXs that were replaced by the Hutchinsons 10+ years ago. They had a bit of dry rot, so we just got the new ones, also went from 23s to 25s. Anyway... tubes. I had to use all of my strength to mount these bad boys. I normally pride myself on my tire changing skills and ability to not use tire levers. Not happening with these. I ended up pulling out the big metal tire lever. I used that for my first attempt. pinched that tube. Tried again, wrecked another one. As careful as I was, I ended up breaking 4 tubes before I managed to get both tires mounted. Tubes suck!
