Mid-Atlantic Blue Knob Lodging?

I am planning to do a last minute trip this weekend with my 13 year old son to either Blue Knob or Snowshoe.

Any recommendations on an easy place for the two of us to stay in the Blue Knob area?

I guess it depends how close you want to be to the resort. There are a lot of affordable hotels 10-15 miles away in Johnstown-Altoona-Duncansville. The resort also offers on site lodging that is a bit more expensive.
