Big Sky is launching an interesting version of night skiing with headlamps.

Bombing down an empty groomer by headlamp after dark is by far and away my favorite type of skiing, moguls can be fun after dark too but requires one to slow down a lot.

I'd be so down with doing that. We do the torchlight parade on Christmas Eve every year at Snowbasin, and ski approximately 2000 vertical from the top of Needles to the staging area with headlamps, on freshly groomed runs. (Well, a few of the crazy instructors ski moguls almost the whole way.) It is one of my favorite events of the year!

This! The silvery moonlight reflected off of the snow makes the adventure of skiing at night with no additional light source magical.
