We lapped swifty waiting for Shedhorn or Dakota to open. Both opened around 1030 or 11, so we booked it over there. The snow was deep and we had a ton of fun. We didn't stop for lunch till 2:30 at the yurt (Shedhorn Grill).

Judy and I had an absolutely great time. We weren't quite sure what to expect as other than meeting Phil and Tricia (individually) at a couple of Epic gatherings years ago, I only knew people from their posts on Pugski and Epic and Judy knew no one. We felt accepted right away and I want to thank everybody for making us feel welcome.

And the skiing wasn't too bad either....................:D

The hardest part was trying to keep the real names, screen names, faces and outfits straight! We made a bunch of new friends and ski buddies and even though it's a year away (and a lot can happen in that time) we're thinking Jackson Hole next year. Enjoy the rest of your time at Big Sky and we'll see you all in 2020.

What a day... the snow won't stop... 16" in the 36 hours before lunch today and a few more this afternoon. 6-10" tomorrow and tomorrow night too.

I think I skied both the deepest and steepest things I've ever skied today. Not saying much compared to some of the experts on here... but still... Might have been the...

Better than the Utah Gathering when we got close to 2' of fresh every day ?

Not as deep but still verrry good.

Yeah Utah 2008 had epic (no pun intended) powder but it also came with no wind and every inch of terrain was open by 10:30AM or earlier each day. There was even some sunshine at Alta and Snowbasin with no visibility issues on any of the days.

Having said that, I'm so stoked for the Big Sky crew this year as conditions look amazing and looking at the pics in this thread I understand why @SKI-3PO said " It's Veerrry Gooood"

Wish I was there and thanks for the stoke:thumb:
