Makes perfect sense @scott43 ... I've never seen a bear at a drive thru either.

Sad news from Downieville CA (20 miles from where I live)
A 71 yr old woman was found deceased. Bear entered her house.

Several reports have her mauled by the bear. This report has the Sierra Co sheriff
saying the bear got to the body a day or 2 after death. Unclear. Still being investigated.

Maybe it’s been mentioned on this thread, but anybody seen Backcountry on Netflix? True story, must watch. Watched it last night.

^ “It’s better’n nuthin’.“ I was wondering how it would have played out if he hadn’t had/used the spray.

No offense @Tricia.

Wow 100 miles range increase. When are animals are hungry what's a few miles I'll raise you a Lobster the crawled 140 miles.

No offense taken.
I just thought the JH News article was interesting since the wildlife management tends to track such things as bear activity in certain regions.

I'm not going to doubt their investment in knowing these things.

Enquiring minds want to know, how the lobster get further than the bear?
I'm no wildlife expert, but perhaps bear have a general region they reside and lobsters don't care.
