Cheers for the shout-out! I just thought I'd mention I've added quite a few trip reports and route information to that page this season, including a bunch of backcountry huts.

The full hut list of backcountry huts I've been to in Hokkaido in winter: http://www.14degrees.org/hokkaido-backcountry-ski-touring-routes/#hokkaido-back-country-huts

HIGHLIGHTS have been:

The Okuteine Hut and Ginreiso Hut, linked together for a multi-day tour

Shokanso Hut on the Japan Sea coast

Mt. Piyashiri Summit Hut in northern Hokkaido

Just last weekend, the Shakotan Hut just west of Sapporo

Out of curiosity. Do you provide guide services besides the media activity?

Cheers Mendieta! It looks like you have a nice community here.

No - what my bio doesn't say on my http://www.14degrees.org site is that I have a day job, as a professor at a university here in Sapporo City (capital city of Hokkaido). So I'm well and truly a 'weekend warrior'. Mind you, the last three trips I've done this season have been along with random people who have contacted me through my website (such as Hendrik and Leni on the Mt. Shokanbetsu hut trip). It's always fun to meet other people who love to travel in wintry mountains and have managed to make it all the way up here to Hokkaido :)

I start a new job in approximately 6 days, so my to-do list is a little bit swamped at the moment, but I will certainly keep it in mind!
