Just received this from management. Looks like a good opening!

Pull the Trigger, Drop the Rope, Flash Openings…. we are ready! Get your pass early…. you don’t want to be waiting in that line on opening day.

Saturday, November 17th, we will open Aspen Mountain top to bottom. We will be skiing/riding most runs on the top of the mountain serviced by Ajax Express: One & Two Leaf, Upper Copper, Deer Park, Silver Bell, Silver Dip, and Dipsy, with surprise and delight flash openings as patrol feel runs are ready to go. We will have Spar Gulch and Little Nell open to the bottom. Lifts open will be: Silver Queen Gondola, Ajax Express (open for the season), The Nell and Bell Chairs (open for the weekend). The total acres guaranteed for opening day will be 130 and with flash openings, that will grow. Probable additions could add 35-40 acres this weekend.

The Sundeck Restaurant will open for your enjoyment, comfort and as a gathering spot to share your stories from the day. Rental/Retail is also ready to go.

We plan to open Snowmass on November 22nd, Thanksgiving Day with a bang. We will have skiing on much of the mountain including: The Big Burn, Max Park, Lunch line, Upper Scooper and Lower Hals to the bottom of Village Express. Elk Camp will have: Bull Run, Grey Wolf, Bear Bottom, Gunner’s View and the Elk Camp Meadows Beginner area. This will bring Snowmass to 475.5 guaranteed acres of open terrain on Thanksgiving Day, with more as it becomes ready.

Eateries will include: Elk Camp Restaurant, Up 4 Pizza and Sam’s Smokehouse for great food and service. And along with all of the excellent skiing/riding, we will also have The Breath Taker Coaster ready to go, so bring the friends and family!

It is fun to have this scenario presented: cold weather, natural snow, and big smiles. As we get more terrain prepped and ready, we will make sure to open for your gliding enjoyment.
