Gang, Betsy, Nico (the wonder sheltie), and I spent a couple of days in Aspen at the music festival promoting her book about classical music. But hikes with the wonder sheltie were a joy and obviously mandatory. Bumped into a old historic lift at the bottom of the mountain and took some pictures I thought I'd share. The old "Skiers Chalet" look the part and being right at the base of the mountain must have a story to tell...but not for long signs on the building say it's going to be razed to make room for a lift expansion.

Funny you bring that up. I was there a couple years ago and took a lot of photos of the old Skier's Chalet and the single lift. (I will have to hunt them up again).

Photo I came across on the web.
