    What the eff ?! You vacuous, toffee-nosed, malodorous pervert, I certainly wouldn't want anyone conciliatory.

    I actually use this clip in couples therapy sessions to illustrate how the way they are arguing is a problem, rather than the arguing being a problem.

    In other words many people are often in the abuse room and just being mean, when they think they are arguing;
    Many are in the complaint room when they think they are arguing;
    Many are hitting each other over the head with past grievances and emotional baggage when they think they are arguing;
    Many are simply contradicting each other and can’t even agree on the facts, when they think they are arguing.

    “An argument is an intellectual process.”
    “An argument is a series of statements to prove a point.”
    I will often have clients schedule a weekly argument session, so they have time to make their case logically and calmly, rather than simply be reactive to an emotional trigger in the heat of the moment.

    Tricia, I don’t suppose your post had any hidden messages? Anything perhaps about most of the threads in the Ski School and Instructor forum? Just wondering....

    Do you think this thread could be referenced in threads from time to time?

    Is this where the "answering a question with a question" lessons meet?

    I'm not arguing, I'm just explaining why I'm right.
