Howdy, Preparing for a trip to Utah and wondering if the UTA ski buses are frequently standing room only. Standing for a long bus trip at the beginning or end of a ski day would be less-than enjoyable and, if possible, I would like to avoid the experience. Can I simply use the park & ride lot at the entrance of the canyons or is it a better idea to start at Midvale or Sandy Station? I am planning to take the bus from SLC to ski the Cottonwoods. Thank you.

I can’t believe it’s not England!
Unless you're going on a weekday without fresh snow, I'd err on the side of starting at Midvale or Sandy Station. I was there in early January, stayed in Midvale, and the bus was pretty consistently standing room by the time you hit the park & rides on a good snow day. On the way back down the mountain... the lines are pretty orderly so consider skipping the first bus you see. If you're one of the first 15ish people on the bus you'll get a seat.
