April at Jackson hole?

with its exposures and altitude is jh a good spring skiing location? Do they still groom that time of year?

JH will be open the first weekend of April, then it closes. It's not a question of snow quantity or quality, it just closes.

Orientation and elevation generally do not favor Jackson in March/April. You can get lucky, and often the north facing terrain off of Sublette/Thunder can remain with good winter snow even when it is 50 degrees at the base, but the Hobacks can become unskiable. après Vous can be great fun in spring conditions.

Personally, it's best to hit it in February or January.
