Yes, I have been snowboarding since January 1990. A snowboard is the ultimate powder tool when descending terrain, providing one knows the terrain (and knows where to carry speed) but is vastly inferior for flat terrain and for any traverses other than short ones. I also telemark ski and like to alternate amongst the three disciplines so as to somewhat evenly distribute my body's workload amongst different muscle groups. I ride/ski four or five days per week, which is down from a couple years ago, and find I have better endurance and recover from a big day faster if I rotate through my different types of gear. I can't relate to the dislike skiers have for boarders and vice-versa but to each their own.
