Mt Bachelor picked up 48" in 48 hours. The mountain has been warning that tree well danger is extreme, but we lost another. A skier was spotted in a well yesterday, aready dead.
The same time last year we lost two people in one day.
We've been skiing the powder a bit, but avoiding the tighter trees and going home when visibility is bad. Even then, I had one ski try to drop towards a tree so fast that I blew out of the binding with an upward release, something I didn't know that binding had. Those things are just plain dangerous. Be careful out there!
