I got back home and took a couple of photos. First is the heel with the boot locked in.

The second photo is zoom in on just below the brake.

Thank you very much !

I own 3 pairs of boots :
Atomic MAGNA 130
Atomic Burner 120 ( and they seem much stiffer than the 130 !! )
Salomon SX91 Equipe

With both the Atomic , I am out back of the 2 lines ...
With the Salomon , I am right in .

I also tried a pair of San Marco ZX-7 that someone gave me ... with them the arrow is out front of the 2 lines .
Just for the fun , I tried with a pair of Munari from mid 1960' ... they do not fit the bindings ! Too big .

All of these boots are OK with my feet and I skied with them . A lot ...

The problem is that the Atomic bindings seem at the end of their course : they are exactly like yours on the picture above .
I doubt I could get a millimeter of of it .

So I will ski them with the Salomon ... what else !! Unless I take a chance and ski out of the lines ...

The problem is that the Tyrolia Atomic bindings seem at the end of their course : I am not sure what you mean about "at the end of their course" Do you mean the track that heel slides on?

Do you know how to adjust the heel on a Tyrolia 490 RD? They have a track that will let you slide the binding forward and back about a CM in each direction without drilling the ski.

You could Ski the SX 91's or readjust the heel for the Atomics.

Unscrew the stopper .
Unscrew the first bolts you see .
Slide the carriage .
Screw the bolts .
Put back the stoppers .

And , yes , I fear I have no track left !

Am I right ?

Photo 1 is me pointing the screw in the center of the brake.
Photo 2 is two marks on the ski showing the position of the heel before I release the heel. That position is for the SX 91s. By making those marks you have a starting point.
Photo 3 is the base plate that the heel slides on. My finger is on the side towards the tip.
Photo 4 is the heel off of the base plate.
After you put the two marks on the ski of the starting point like in photo 2 take a screwdriver and turn the center screw counter clock wise a quarter turn. This will let the brake lift up enough to disengage the teeth from the base plate now you can slide the heel back a fraction. Before you try to turn the center screw back you will have to make the teeth on the brake line up with the teeth on the base plate. If you can not get them to line up you may have not enough track left. Good luck and you can always ask more questions.

I got my hands on these K2 5500 today, they are 185CM and not in bad shape. The K2 brand is not one I collect so if anyone is interested let me know.

Out of the blue, I scored two poster collections from a publisher and my buddy Lars!
