Did cober buy attenhofer Dave? I recall having a pair on atomic alu-glas in 72-73 and I am sure the toe was the same as the attenhofer "flatly" with the upward release?

Hmm. I remember these heel pieces, We used them on some Vielhaber rentals we bought for the University ski club around '74. Then salmon brought out the 44 rental heel which was a huge step forward.

Here are the Cober ski poles I told you about on the Persenico skis entry .
Just look at the design of the grip : it is a work of art !!!!
And they have a little ''leash'' to keep them together !

The Gasherbrum IV was first climbed by Italians in 1958 ... Bonatti and Mauri , part of an expedition by Cassin .
I imagine they were part of the expedition ... not this pair obviously !
They have a very good balance , better than most you can currently buy in stores now . In fact , I would ski with them all winter long but I am afraid to nick or bend the shafts .

This is it !
