One of my best friends used to buy every big gimmick ski that came out. He had the Fritzenmeyer Duos. He had the Kästle New Style Champion with the triple groove. He also had a pair of Blizzard Polo. I've never seen another pair anywhere. They were a twin tip like the Kästle Freestyle and Mark IVs, but the tails were fully rounded like today's twin tips. I think Kniessel Acrobats may also be fully rounded. The Blizzard Polos were metal topsheets with bright orange or neon pink and black paint. Anyone else remember that ski, seen any around???

anyone got any pictures of the original Firebird race ski from 1972 with the orange/blue diamond checkered top sheet. My first real race ski that had actually been built at the factory by one of my college buddies when he worked there in the summer. Been a blizzard race ski fan ever since!

Thanks Dave!. Real close, this is the Firebird S, from the next year, similar but slightly different top sheet. I seem to remember being told it had a foam core but I never actually believed it.
I will keep my eyes open!
