Now ... guess what I found yesterday ???
Never seen before , these ...

You probably know how are people in Quebec : they believe that they are manufacturing the best , above the rest and well before everyone else .

Here is a pair of skis '' Fabriqué au Québec '' but ''Made in Canada'' and made by ''skilled Austrian craftmen '' ... if it is not chauvinistic , I don't know what it is ...
Oh .. yes ... idiotic too but most people where , end of the '50 and early '60 knew no English at all .

The '' Carnaval '' , taken from the world famous winter Carnival in Quebec .

The bindings are Grasshoppa sold by Marden in Montreal .

The lady - retired - who sold me these thinks that they were her parents' ...
6ft ... meaning they were made somewhere not metric .

Now ... where do they come from ?
Who really made them ?
And exactly when ??

If you want more pictures , let me know .
I made a lot .

Thank you !

I wonder if they were made at the Sohler ski company factory in Sherbrooke. The colour and lettering look some reminiscent of their skis
