First time out on the new touring skis/bindings/skins for my 12 year old. Also only the third time on skis and on her new 50/50 boots(Fischer Ranger Free) for the season.
All the gear worked great. She could rip the skins apart herself (Contour Clariden hybrid glue), Vipec Evo bindings workded wel and she could transition them herself. Skis (Fischer Hannibal 96) and boots walked well and skied well on.
Since the snow depth has been dropping here, I didn’t want to risk descending through the woods, to big a chance of hitting a log or branch.
So, we skinned up through the woods on the backside of the ski hill (Mont du Lac, WI), and descended the groomer.
