It would be a great pleasure to ski with you all here in my home state. I would happily be number 19 on the list.

Unfortunately, I and my wife fly out Monday, for a week at Kirkwood, visiting our youngest son (Patrol) (5-10 Monday, 7-10 " on Tuesday, with new snow all week ;-)

Stowe has a solid enough base that the rain shouldnt affect the coverage at all, in fact it should be softer than today.....but not softer than saturday coming up.

Its far out, who knows it might snow, but looks like rain.

I've skied one day at Stratton. It was a Sunday. It rained -- and not just a drizzle. Lodge was wall-to-wall people. And then they all left.

We skied onto the lift, every run. I got off the lift one time and felt water run down my legs -- soaked thru my ski pants. I squeezed the end of my gloves. Water ran out of them.

The snow was soft. Trails were empty. It was great out there.

yeah It entirely possible to stay dry during a rain.

with that said good skiing in the rain requires.

A. a frozen base

B. No new snow prior to the rain.

I am little worried it may snow then get rain on top of it....

just to clarify I'm only going if it's raining. skied too much powder in utah last week and need some new england practice.
