Back to bikes and C'dales in particular. Does anybody else think they would sell twice as many bikes if the just let the whole Lefty thing go?

They still seem to be clinging to it, especially on their higher end models.

I really like the look of them on the Slate. Better than the Lauf (is it a suspension? can I hang panniers off it?) forks.

Every Lefty I've ridden was really good - once I managed to stop looking at it. Who knows, maybe they sell a lot of bikes to die-hard Lefty fans. I have a hard time getting excited about the brand at all, but it isn't because of Lefty.

I will say, The Lefty is a tough sell. There is little question it works...it is just that it is just odd...and some riders just find it disconcerting.

Handling is about what I expected. It is different getting used to the Sram shifting coming from 30 years of Shimano.

The bike looks AWESOME. Seems like you got the perfect bike for you. Light enough but burly enough for basically any trail I would dare ride here out west.
