North of all you guys, but Bristol started firing up yesterday afternoon. First order is resurfacing open trails. Good snowmaking weather all weekend and next week with some natural coming down. Could be 100% open by next week.

Still smiling. The scout kids were killin it right up until the dinner bell then went back out for a couple more runs under the lights. After dinner session was dry

Snow at Whitetail was excellent this morning. Two new runs open. Typical holiday crowd dynamics.
Should be some really good mid-week skiing with more runs opening for anyone who can get up this week.

January 20th last season we had an <inch of blow on rain washed glacier ice - so I took the 95s out!

I’d say today was better than that snow-wise. Yes it’s pathetic to be less than 50% open. But I brought two pairs of skis today- Hero SLs and FX95s. FX95s were the right ski for the conditions by far. Soft legit packed powder. Huge improvement in just a few days of cold temps. I grew up skiing the Rockies and Sierras. I’m pleasantly surprised how well modern snowmaking makes snow when it’s cold around here.

Wintergreen this morning was fun - even at less than 50% open. Lots of soft manmade in the Acorn pod. Talk of Highlands being open this weekend - I imagine the usual Upper Cliffhanger - Lower Wild Turkey combo. Sure hope snowmaking weather sticks around.
