Watching Women's GS from K right now. Not ready for 16 degree weather. Maybe I should move to Florida and give up this skiing thing.

The news just reported that the Whiteface mid station lodge burned overnight. Area will open today with three lifts running.

It's coming down pretty good here in S.Vt at the moment.
I just got in from clearing the drive with the tractor blower. 20 degrees, medium to light dry and fluffy. About 4 inches, no sign of letting up.
Tomorrow morning should be mighty fine sliding, ;-)

Just wrapped up 3 days of skiing. 1 day of free skiing and 2 days of clinics at Bromley. Major terrain expansion expected when we reopen full time for the season next weekend.

Magic opens 12/7 with the green chair. Not sure of trail count yet but hopefully much of the lower mountain on the east side will be open.

I hear it's currently puking snow in Southern Vermont so between this and several straight days of snowmaking, next weekend should be pretty great.

Magic may open before saturday. Bromley has hinted to this as well.

Today was empty. The state emptied out early for the storm.

It was a good day to ski in S. Vt. Lots of snow, a bit thick but plenty of it. Snowed all day as well.

A bit too much wind up high, but that can be a good thing in some ways.

I had too much FUN, gonna sleep well tonight.

Went up to Stratton today , reported 19 inches which seemed accurate. They did groom most trails overnight, 33 were open, but it snowed several inches on top for an awesome surface. Deeper stuff was around in spots. A few glades skied great although a friend of mine missed an out run in one in snowbowl area and ended up at a condo complex. A lot of trails were roped but coverage looked great.

Big Wind kicked in by noon, closing the gondi and constantly refreshed the trails. Great day.

Today was better than yesterday.
6+" on yesterdays settled base. Fun at every turn.
We dropped a lot of ropes, opened a lot of terrain. 400+ acres.
Here in the east, these fine days come too seldom.
This season has had just about everything a skier would want, and we are only three weeks in!
