This will take you to the mountain in style and with 'adequate' levels of performance for your soul.

What is that goofy looking cleft-like shape in the back, where the cargo area of the station wagon belongs?!

Personally, I still consider the W140 to the be last real S-Class, a series that was built to a standard and not a price point, a series that was built by engineers and the bean counters be damned. I will say the power that these new generation offers is simply amazing, getting 5000lb to 60MPH in 3.4 seconds is incredible.

If there were two Benzes that I would strongly consider owning (if and when I won the lottery) would be a AMG GT-S or a E63 AMG Wagon.

The Wagon is SOOOOO much better looking and cooler in every way. The ski gear fits and the dog likes it too.

The sedan looks like a "Realtor lady" car.
