January at Stowe. It was so cold that most resorts simply did not open that day. I was on a group trip and we decided to hike to get some turns. I think it was -22F at some point. The following day I skied with @KevinF , @Sandy_NYC and others. How cold was it that weekend Kevin?

This is what happens to your face when you hike in such conditions....

I remember skiing with you that weekend and the cold being ridiculous. But I also remember we managed to stay out for a couple runs.

There was another weekend where @LKLA and his family up. LKLA was smart enough to just say "no", but Mrs., Junior and I all took a run. We got down, Mrs. and I said "that's it", but Junior wanted to do one more, so we went up again. Halfway down I thought I was going to die... I couldn't feel anything. I think that day it was around 25 below, ambient temperature.

I think the day I joined you it was in the 10 below range. I can't find my pictures right now of the temperature board in the Mansfield Base Lodge. I'm trying to banish memories of those weeks.

Snowfan, you can't shave as long as the knee holds up. That beard is a Sampson thing.
