here is debating that, but wow, when you look at the vitriol on Twitter etc., it makes me sad. I was driving around Donner Lake around the same time that you were headed to Boreal. It was fine as long as the wind wasn't blowing because the trees gave contrast, etc., but the moment the wind picked up I had no idea whether I was two feet away from the right snowbank or on the wrong side of the road. I can imagine it was 10x worse on the summit.
I've a running list of storm driving pet peeves, among them and one of the easiest to fix: drivers who rely on their day runners/auto mode for their lights. Day runners on does not mean that tail lights are on. And sometimes it's bright enough that auto mode doesn't turn on head and tail lights. Flip the headlights on and make yourself visible from behind!
