Josh Fox is a great resource, I read his blog regularly. He's pretty balanced with his commentary, discussing what the models say and what he thinks will happen. Doesn't always get it right, but what weather forecaster does?

Here are some quick shots from yesterday(tuesday) at Stowe.

Its been fantastic in the trees and some bumps since sunday. with the 6-8 inches of fresh snow that fell on sunday that just kept getting blown around and making everything flat each day.

A bit breezy up high today. Getting to the top was an Up, over, down, then up again affair.
The snow scoured off many places. but then it settled in others ;-)

I like skiing those other places a lot!

Stowe's reporting 12" fell in the last 24 hours. I wish I could have been there midweek but it should be a good weekend!

Edit: hmmm, just saw Erik's post above. Snow, no snow?

Glad to hear that! :golfclap:

All come from Open Snow - perhaps different time frame.
Well one shows last 24 hours and Tony's says last 2 days. Damn, can't make it up this weekend and next weekend is MLK weekend which is an Ikon blackout. If the conditions are right it may be worth it though.

Today’s Stowe report. Day started with the quad on wind hold, but the triple was spinning.

Officially 7” last night and was still snowing hard this morning. First run did not suck.

Met up with @Josh Matta and Mrs Josh and he showed me numerous woods lines on the lower half of the mountain. Some I knew about, some were new. Now if I remember where they all are is another matter... We braved one ride on the quad into the summit wind; yeah — no thanks.

The wind kept filling in the snow in the trees so even mid afternoon felt awesome. Gondola didn’t spin all day and the quad didn’t spin after 11:00 or so, so tomorrow morning should be awesome as well.

Josh was brave enough to take his hand out of gloves and take pictures so I’ll let him post those.

Some pics from today.

One of the better powder days of the years. Snow+wind basically kept things fresh all day long in the woods, even to last runs.

Well crap. That looks awesome.

Yeah, it does. I just packed up the car with the FX94's and now I'm wondering if I should have stuck with the original plan and the BMX105's.

pack both?

I may have been wrong, if the wind keeps blowing the BMX will be great, if the wind stops it will be tracked out really fast.....or maybe the cold will keep people away.
