They blowing any snow at Abay and Loveland? Doesn't look like it on the cams. I'd imagine this storm is going to give them a huge bump towards opening?

They are blowing, but it's too warm right at this moment, if that's what you're looking at.

Well this is a good start at the Grizzly Peak Snotel. Serious water content in that first major snow.

Not sure why 2017 (last season) is refusing to chart.

Ahhh, but in some ways a good kind of crazy. As long as you show up mostly to bask in the beginning of the season, and don't expect more than a few uncluttered runs, either early or late.

So far it has been a fairly cool fall here in the Denver area.

First tracks of the 17-18 season were made today. We could've waited 15 minites longer for the snow to soften up, but there was good coverage all around if you knew where to go. Snow in the lower portion of the trees skied softer than the top. Only one creek crossing, and it was only about 2 feet wide. Not bad for early October

So stoked on the pics everybody! I've still got 82 days until I arrive in CO so I'll live vicariously thru y'all in the meantime. After a nuclear bone scan and MRI last week it looking like the Dr is going to scope my ankle and possibly remove some of the hardware in early November which is a crap shoot this late in the game but I'm believing it will allow me to charge rather than suffer this winter.

I realize early starts don't guarantee big seasons but I have a feeling it's going to be a sweet winter!

Hey Dane, I will shoot you an sms with some other shots. The drive back to Copper from Luv was more like winter than I expected. ogsmile

Glad to see the high pressure backed up and kept Nate out in the Gulf and away from you guys. Sorry for the people in New Orleans though. Good luck with the scope.
