Hiked Quandary for the first time. My oldest son ran it - about 65 mins to the top. Three of these descend from my genetics, at least so says the papers.

Then we hung out at Fatties Pizza, saw a poor bear who was going to have a bad day getting down with assistance...

And headed up Wheeler Lake. Man is that trail more fun after all the ATV rutting. Haven’t been up there in years.

The Boy 2 had to get back for work the next morning and hit a deer on the way down Hoosier. He was really bummed, but the Taco held up pretty well. The light bar was a bit of a damage multiplier.

We’re in process of straightening everything back out, at least as much as it needs to be.

Mostly "like" with a finishing "ouch!"

The Taco needed new headlights anyway and the bumper structure was undamaged (the metal tore beneath the welds above the frame as it folded up), so ultimately mostly just sad for hitting a deer.

I always maintain that a bumper stinger is a good idea so that deer and zombies go down and under instead of up on the hood and into the windshield.

We started repairs at camp the next morning.

A little bit of body clamp pulling with a hand winch and we’ve straightened out the radiator core so looks like we’ll have good headlight fit and the bumper is already re-welded at the tears.

Old trucks rock. Another dent another story.
