Well, it's snowing.



Yea, it's the monsoon, but I had a fire lit yesterday during the day.

Plus it snowed right after we skied on Sunday.

Since we could have been skiing while it snowed, it's officially next season.

No, usually around now. Maybe a tad later. It goes away, of course. End of October is the best time for snow to start stacking up, but it snows quite a few times before that (depending on which altitude).

It can snow any month of the year in the Rockies. That's why my summer tires are my winter tires.

Snow on Pikes Peak this morning! Not a ton but it is a sign that the season is nearing.

I have mud in my yard. I have seen mosquitos.

There is liquid snow everywhere it seems. Must still be summer. Still useful to keep ski rigs in shape.

Around two weeks or less til the ski mags latest gear issues come out.

The Blistergear Buyer's Guide will be mailed early in the first week of September, I was told - that's what they're shooting for.
I plan to get two extras, beyond my membership issue: for fanatical ski techs/reps I owe big time.
