The funny thing is, Francona is apparently a super-nice guy and easy to get along with. Why dump him?! Money maybe, dunno.. Pitching was stellar. Jays couldn't hit it. done and done.

Francona was great in Philly. Kyle Henrick was OK in Philly but has blossomed in Chicago.

There was a power struggle within the Sox organization when Lucchino came in as president and they went corporate. Francona and Epstein were made scapegoats. Both guys are total class acts and a lot smarter than most/all of their brethren.

Charlie Sheen was asking if he could throw the first pitch and got turned down. Have they decided on anyone else yet?

    WS observations...

Lester, not being able to throw to first base? Granted Contrares to Baez have been super human getting him out of trouble but the pressure it puts on the rest of the team is rediculous.

What is it with batters not runniong as soon as the ball is hit? If very well cost them an inside the park home run in game three then Rizzo tonight watching the ball. RUN! the first base coach is there for a reason.

Keep Lester in..until someone gets on base, then pull him.

It's time to separate the wheat from the chaff, the men from the boys, the awkwardly feminine from the possibly Canadian.
