So it's like dumping in Park City now and it's been at it for a few hours. Powder at the Bird tomorrow? This could turn into a pretty good week.

Snowbasin cleared their snowstake, but quickly picked up about 6 inches, I think. Now, the rain before the snow might have wiped things down to dirt below, not sure. I'm going to have to investigate tomorrow ;)

Went up to Snowbasin around 2:30, it was dumping! Total porn snow, skied like a foot. 2 laps on Gondola & 3 on JP. Some of my best turns of the season last two runs... So stoked:snow::D:snow:!

Snowbasin was good today. Perfect end to the season.

And I brought the right skis. They don't make 'em like this any more.

Haven't skied the praxis in 4 years. But the heavy snow and lack off any grooming called for a reverse.reverse ski.

Had to make the trek to the top of No Name even though the tram was closed, for what is likely the final powder day at Snowbasin this season.

Looking down the 3000' barrel to the car park...

Yep, it was fun today! I am kicking myself for not sticking around longer. The light got flat again, and the snow set up kind of weird, and even though I was skiing pretty well today, I just decided to call it early. I have a feeling the setting up got better throughout the day. I'll be up on Sunday in my SUHWEET 80's outfit, though.

Maiden voyage ... really? How long has the boy been rusting in the barn, or is it normal to allow for a period of adjustment?
My trainer has been working him and getting him ready for me :) He could win some actual money competing this year with my trainer, so I'll stay off of him so I don't create any wrinkles in his training.

Ah, I figured somebody was working him out. I'd love to follow your journey with a new horse, if you're posting that anywhere.

I would love to see something about this in off season activities. If we have enough equestrian interest we could dedicate a spot for horse stuff.
I know @DeAnn Sloan is highly interested, in fact she is working on a site she just bought, but she's probably not checking in on the Utah thread

We'll see! Going through a major life transition, so I might end up having to sell him anyway :(

Definitely a day to remember. During this storm sequence the only reliable way to know what the snow is like at The Bird is to go visit. Today was worth the visit.

Loved being on the AX today.
