Well, 16 — Sunapee again. Arrived earlier, first lot parking, and conditions until about noon were decent in places. Clearly the recovery is just starting.
SL skis. The ticket to nirvana when pistes are hell.
If I had known it wasn't going to be crowded I would have gone with GS skis. I did have to shut it down super quick at one bottlekeck when a little kid and his family made a really unexpected move and blocked the entire opening we all had to share.. If I had been going faster I would have just decided to blow through the bamboo poles blocking a snow whales that only left about 10 feet on that side pf the trail open. The kid stopped in the middle of that gap and his noob family also all stopped right there.. Had to stop completely and wait for them to push off and move past it.. With 4 of them and all looking brand new I didn't think it was a safe bet to guess which way they would push off or if they'd even look or all push off in the same direction again.. Ahh the hassle of skiing under control hahahaha..

I rather miss the edge grip of my redsters. I'm thinking of picking up a pair of tuned down SL skis for the kind of days you mention. I don't want to hijack this thread so feel free to PM me but what's do you recommend. I know you have blossoms.
