I figured I post as a separate thread.
I got my Giro Method with Emerald lens based on the VLT rating.
While it is a green lens, the image is pretty pink. Not sure if I will get used to it or how it will look on actual snow.
The Giro comes with a low light lens to swap out. Just wondering what...
A lot of skiers own several shades of goggle lenses for different conditions.
My question: Do you swap your lenses during the day if the conditions change? If so, how or where do you carry the extra lenses?
My first thought is to throw lens #2 into my camelback wrapped in a microfiber cloth...

I have some (lots of) dried sweat on the inside of my ski goggles, which is annoying.
I want to clean them without mucking up the anti fog coating on the inside
is just a clean water rinse ok?

anti fogging embedded in their lenses
dab the lens with a damp micro fibre cloth

Are flat and low light the same thing but just different terms? I consider low light to be along the lines of night skiing whereas flat light is when you get those cloudy days.
On the same line, do color blind or color deficient people (me) see flat light differently than full spectrum folks...

The fog...and foggy goggles is now making me nauseous and ruining ski days. Suggestions?
So I'm now 52 and it looks like I now get nauseous every time visibility gets bad due to fog and / or goggle issues. I enjoy skiing too much to have this ruin days like this. Anyone else suffer from this...

It's time to retire my existing goggles and get something new. My face shape is a little wider across the temples than most, and my eyes are set a bit wider, which makes nearly all the goggles I try too narrow to be comfortable (the foam on the frames impinge on the edges of my eyes)...

As the season approaches and we all look to our gear and checking what needs an upgrade.
One of the things due for an upgrade in my gear is goggles. The inside foam is becoming tatters and the nose never always fit right on my current Shred Soaza's. But for the right price of free, I can't...
Several places are offering 40-50% off their remaining stock here over the summer.
I am looking to build out a 2 or 3 goggle/lens quiver.
We are moving from VT to CO late this summer, so light conditions are going to change when we ski most weeks.

Always used the Smith Blue Sensor Mirror lens for low light conditions. It was pretty consistently rated the best on the market for cloudy, snowy, flat-light situations. Smith is discontinuing this lens, however, and tried to replace it last year with the ChromaPop Storm (blue tint, 50% VLT)...
It's time to replace my POC Helmet. I usually wear Smith Turbo Fan goggles and all is well. I would like to keep wearing the goggles but am thinking of moving to a Shred helmet. I was thinking either the Basher Ultimate or more than likely the Basher NoShock.
Does anyone have any experience...

So, you want to buy a new pair of goggles? Go to the store (or the your favorite online retailer), take a look at the boxes, or at the product page of the pair that you like. Admire the artfully written copy and carefully constructed diagrams of traced and split color...
Call me crazy but I have an idea for a goggle -- it came to me while at work one day . I thought it was a sunny day out since out of the corner of my eye I caught a glimpse of a piece of blue translucent acrylic on my shelf. Then I looked up and realized it was a cloudy day.
I think the same...
