    Reusing Binding Screw Holes?

I have been on this forum long enough that I feel like I should know the answer to this but I need to ask, is it better/possible to use existing holes or use a different binding/mount point on used skis? Is the question more nuanced than a simple yes/no question?

    Binding mounting point

I've always been a nervous about mounting my own bindings w/o proper gear (template/jig etc), but I just picked up a set of used skis for use as rock skis this season and want to re-mount the existing bindings myself to keep costs minimal. The problem is, the skis are crappy Head BYS rental...

    binding position

When the binding is set for the correct sole length the center mark on the boot is 25mm forward of the mark on the ski. Even moving the binding all the way to the rear of its travel the centerline is forward by about 5mm. Looks like the binding is mounted too far forward. Skis are Kastle FX85...

96 Ripstick Black binding mount location recommendations

just bought myself the above ski in 188 length and am looking for recommendations on where to mount my attack 13's. Ski in southern Ontario so small hills that are hard packed. Went with this ski as it looks fun. About me 6ft 1 inch and not a light weight. Advanced skier. Trying to figure...

    Binding Glue

How necessary is binding glue when mounting a binding into used holes on a second hand ski? I screwed them in, they are nice and tight, should I be worried about not having any fresh glue in there? I could order some and screw the bindings in again if necessary.

    Quick Binding Mounting Question

I'm taking two pairs of skis to a local shop recommended by a few people to have bindings mounted. I'm going to have them mount them on center or whatever that's called. Question is do I just trust them to use the right epoxy or glue, or is there anything I need to specify?

Moving the mount point back and forth.

Hi all My Rallies are getting a base grind for the season. And a 3 degree side bevel. Yay. Now. I have the system bindings centered. And I know I can always experiment. But, theoretically. What do you expect, normally, when moving the bindings back? (Or forth). I know many of you have the...

    Fischer Ranger 115 Mount Point

I snagged a pair of Fischer Ranger 115s in 188 cm, and am looking for some input on mount point. I'm 6'2", 195 lbs, and a classic directional skier. The recommended line is about -9 cm from true center, but they are also marked with -10, -20 and -30 mms, so I’m a bit uncertain. Pic below for...

    Boot center mark--Head Monster

I hope this fits the "no stupid questions" catagory but... Is the boot center mark on Head Monsters the very faint line with a triangle uner and 4.1 drill size mark on the sidewall?
