I noticed the other day that no one, I mean no one skis in jeans. When I started skiing, almost every beginner wore jeans. NoW it's like everyone's dressed the part. What happened where even for 1st time skiers are in ski pants? And where can I get a set of gaiters to ski in jeans?

Now I know there’s a sucker born every minute but this is getting ridiculous! I just received an email from Mammut about their new Sota skiwear line, the jacket is $1300 and the pants are $900. I’m not exactly a penny pincher but this is crazy. $2200 for a waterproof ski kit! What am I missing???
