I am so glad I found this site.
I took up skiing a few years back, and I have been averaging 2 ski trips a season. I have done I70, Aspen twice, Whistler, Steamboat, and Vail. It has been a blast.
I have invested quite a bit in private lessons, but I don’t get to spend enough time on the snow...

Cheers gang, we typically drive to Big Sky every spring, but this year we plan to do something different over the New Year period. I’m looking for suggestions That will typically ski well at this time, I.e. decent snow cover and not too cold. We would drive to the front range from MN. Or we...
It looks like there will be another draw to Big Sky.
Makes me wonder if he'll show up at races? Maybe I should start gatekeeping again. Will he forerun?
Visualization is a great tool. I use it all the time to reinforce both the physical and emotional side of skiing, and I like to visualize a skier ripping through it.
One of the benefits of this visual exercise is it allows for flawless skiing which in turn will let you to break through bad...
Just got a notice from Big Sky that a power outage has caused the closure of all of the lifts on the north side of the mountain. Quite a fiasco especially after having the Six Shooter breaking on Thursday and being down for several days.
They're firing it up tomorrow (12/14), so they can work out all the kinks in plenty of time before the Pugski Gathering!
8 people on a chair?! I wonder how long it will take before they successfully load and unload a group of 8 snowboarders from one chair?!
Asking for a friend. ;)

From another thread.
Not to threadjack, but can someone compare pros/cons of Whitefish vs Big Sky? @Sibhusky

Keep tabs on the Ramcharger 8 lift build (and Ramcharger removal/relocation) here:
Looks like the chairs have already been removed from the lift and are stashed near Swifty for the time being.
Jet Blue after losing their fight to get a customs facility is refocusing on leisure. Net net, frequencies are going down 12 flights per day but they are also adding some flights

Looks like the snow is pretty good in Montana right now. Thinking about going out in a week or two to take advantage of it.
Probably ski Big Sky and Bridger Bowl. Any suggestions on travel, lodging or other places to ski out there as we never been there.
Thanks for any help.
